Abstract

328,803. Rottler, C. T. May 6, 1929. Boring - heads. - Cutter heads particularly those for reboring engine cylinders have the cutters adjusted by a scroll plate. The cutters 12 slide in radial guides in the body which is circularly recessed to receive the scroll, and are clamped after adjustment by a nut 19. The scroll is retained by a spring ring 17 and the buttress teeth are such that they do not bottom during clamping.
