326,071. Kleinmann, E. Dec. 21, 1928, [Convention date]. Draw-tapes. - A bucklelike slide a for fastening the ends of bands c such as garters, sleeve-bands and sashes is provided at the ends with forwardly or rearwardly curved transverse slots e of such a width as to accommodate the full width of the band c so that the slide may be not wider than the band, and may be used as a bodkin in threading a tape &c. through a hem. The slots e may have one or more similar or dissimilar curves and are narrower at the end e<1> to grip the band. To facilitate threading of the band, the slide is provided at each end with a longitudinal slot capable of taking easily the end, even if frayed, of the band or a single common slot b may be provided for the two ends. Other curved transverse slots d leading from the longitudinal slot or slots b and into which the band can be turned by twisting through a right angle are provided.
