Abstract

312,816. Turner, H. June 8, 1928. Look-out reflectors.-In a cross-traffic reflecting attachment for motor &c. vehicles of the kind in which a single mirror or a pair of mirrors is mounted on the radiator cap or similar forward support in an inclined position relative to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, the mirror or mirrors 2 are fitted in a metal tube 1, Fig. 4, adapted to be supported in an outer sleeve 3, Fig. 1, which is provided with one or two rearwardly facing apertures 8 and with a supporting bracket 4. In order to adjust the mirrors 2 to suit the height of the driver the tube 1 is rotatable within the sleeve 3 and is secured in the desired position by the co-operation of a bolt-and-nut 12 on the tube with a slot 10 in the sleeve. The bracket 4 may constitute the closure member of the filler cap.
