312,568. Shimura, Y., and Takagi, K. Oct. 23, 1928. Fats and fatty oils purifying. - In producing a hair oil, a non drying vegetable oil such as castor, olive, camellia, peanut, coconut, soya bean, rape seed, cotton seed or thea-sasanqua, oil is agitated and heated with ethyl or methyl alcohol and a little ether. After standing 7 days the mixture is washed with water and distilled under reduced pressure to yield, as distillate, an oil of less viscosity than the original oil.
