311,603. Cookson Lead & Antimony Co., Ltd., and Rickaby, J. G. July 25, 1928. Paint cans; paint pots handles; brushes, supports and scrapers for.-A container for paint, varnish, &c., adapted to serve also as a paint pot, is constructed of solid drawn steel with the upper edge B, Fig. 1, turned over a reinforcing wire C in which are formed diametrically opposed loops D, E, for the attachment of the bail handle. A ledge K forming a support or wiper for a brush is secured to the walls at its ends K<2>. A dished lid J, Fig. 4, the rim of which is recessed at J<3> to facilitate levering off by a coin, is provided. K<3>, Fig. 7, shows a modified construction of ledge formed with a draining opening K<4>.
