311,455. Sild, A. B. Feb. 13, 1928. Cabinets. - Relates to suit or garment carrying cases adapted to serve also as wardrobes. Fig. 3 shows one construction, typical of many examples described. The case comprises an inner container part 2, which may be a dressing case of the double form shown in Fig. 7. The side walls are made larger than the dimensions of the inner part proper, to afford a garment receiving space 5 when the wardrobe part 1 is folded around the inner part and secured thereto to produce the complete carrying case. The hanging wardrobe part 1, brought into use as such by suitably supporting the fixed part of the construction, is provided with a support for garment hangers and may be equipped with one or more aprons or covers 21, 22. The aprons are fitted with stretchers 23, 24 and may have straps 26, Fig. 4, and spring-hook fasteners 25. Fig. 10 shows a construction in which the part 2 is in two half portions each hinged to an end of the garment-carrying part. Fig. 12 shows the part 2 mounted within an open frame the bottom and hinged sides of which constitute the garment-carrying part. To provide for the hanging clear of the floor of garments of unusual length, the wardrobe part may be secured to the lid of the inner container in the manner shown in Fig. 14. Fig. 18 shows a tapered form of garment space 5 which may be provided. Fig. 19 shows a construction in which the wardrobe part 1 is completely detachable from the container portion.
