Abstract

311,163. Rolando, O. Sept. 1, 1928. Openers &c.-The spiked boards 1 are secured to the drum 7 of a tearing, opening, willowing and like machine for rags and textile fibres by wedges 3 inserted radially between the boards andexerting pressure both radially and circumferentially. The wedges are secured by bolts 4 and nuts 5 or by screws passing through the wedge and engaging a bar on the outside of the drum. A groove 6 may be formed at the top of the wedge for engagement with a. tool to forcethe wedge into position.
