Abstract
303,837. British Talking Pictures, Ltd., (Assignees of Forest, L. de). Jan. 10, 1928, [Convention date]. Loud-speakers; magnetic instruments ; systems for transmitting music.- Audio-frequency currents from a phono-film &c., after passing through a two channel audio -amplifier, are fed to separate reproducers, designed to accentuate, respectively, the high, and low frequencies and the sound from the two reproducers is smoothly combined and emitted from a single bell-mouth, as in Fig. 2, or else, as in Fig. 3, the sound from the necks 31, 32 is combined at 33 and then emitted from two bell-mouths 34, 35. The high-frequency reproducer has a small plane diaphragm while the low-frequency reproducer has a large heavy plane or conical diaphragm. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes the use of two separate horns one of metal such as thin brass or silver, the other a large exponential horn of wood, fibre or composite material. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
