Abstract

301,685. Hartley, G. S. March 13, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Stands and upright supports.-An implement for lifting a crucible from the triangle on which it has been heated comprises a triangular block of porcelain or like material having raised projections a at its angles to engage the sides of the crucible. A wire handle e, f rises vertically from a groove d at one angle of the block and is secured to the latter by a nut g screwed on to the bent-up portion e which passes through a hole b in the block. The latter is of such dimensions that it can be passed upwards through the triangle, removing the crucible in its passage. Fig. 2 shows a stand on which the crucible ma.v be deposited by the holder for cooling or weighing. It consists of a triangle through which the holder is lowered leaving the crucible behind in its passage, one angle being open to allow the passage of the handle as the implement is withdrawn sideways.
