Abstract
300,708. Prockter, H. W. Aug. 22, 1927. Standing in open position.-In book stands or supports of the kind comprising two boards hinged together to form a cover for the book, and a third board hinged to one of the cover boards and foldable inside or outside the cover when the hook is closed, the free edge of the third board 5 is provided with a ledge or fillet 6 to engage positively the free edge of the cover board 1 when the three boards are folded as shown to form a triangular structure with the board 5 at its base. The book 4 may be removably attached by a cord 7 at the flexible connection between the cover boards 1, 2, or the boards may comprise the stiff cover of a book bound permanently therein. The device may be provided with a holder for a pen and pencil.
