Abstract

307,601. Carmichael, D. Feb. 13, 1928. Feeding-appliances for poultry. - Grain or other food-stuff contained in a hopper A moves downwards past a conical baffle F provided with lugs 0 extending to a supporting band P carried inside the hopper. An eye bolt H is adjustably secured at the top of the baffle F and a rod I, preferably consisting of detachable sections, is hung on this bolt. The rod I carries an adjustable control member J, positioned below the outlet B of the hopper, and a spreader K. A transparent container M filled with grain is fitted at the bottom of the rod. The hopper is provided with side lugs Q pivotally secured to a cross-member D by which the device is hung from a tripod L. The side lugs and the iron member may be locked together by a catch when desired.
