Abstract

307,157. Poletti, G. Jan. 13, 1928. Rackets.-The frame of a wooden tennis racket contains a reinforcing strip formed of two soft-wood strips between which a metallic blade is embedded. The reinforcing strip L is disposed at right angles to the plane of the stringing and extends around the frame and into the handle. A short reinforcing strip P is inserted in the neck of the racket. The strip is formed of two laminµ B of soft wood attached to each other and to a metal blade C by gluing and pressure. The frame is completed by the application of wooden layers F, G.
