Abstract

306,311. Atkins, C. H., and Lewis, C. W. April 2, 1928. Ornamenting.-A small light box or tray made of a thin layer or layers of cardboard &c. is strengthened and ornamented by a rirn or ridge 12 formed by a f1exib1e cord 13 disposed against an edge of the box &c. by means of a wrapping 14 of f1exib1e material, which is stuck to the box by adhesive. As shown in Fig. 1, the rims 12, together with interior spacing wa11s 11, serve to guide a sliding lid 10, which is provided at its end with a similar rim to facilitate the opening thereof. Rims may be provided on the internal faces of a box &c. to support the bottom.
