Wire and ribbon resistances, mounted on frames.-The transverse rods b, c in a frame holding an electric resistance are covered with insulating material in the usual manner and built-up metal spools are threaded thereon to carry the resistance wire or tape. The spools comprise sleeves f with end washers g<1>, g<2> spaced apart on the rod by insulating washers h'. Bracing struts o are also threaded on the rods at intervals.
