Abstract

292,996. Date, W. E. June 29, 1927, [Convention date]. Systems depending on the use of two or more motors.-A number of motors 9, 10, 11 which may drive machines 6, 7, 8 for feeding pulverized fuel to furnaces, are controlled in common by a reversible auxiliary motor 15 adapted to shift contact-arms 16 over resistances R in series with the respective motor-armatures. Equalizing connections 18 unite like terminals of the motors. Push-button switches 19, 20 and a limit-switch 21 are provided for starting and stopping the motor 15. Variable shunt-field resistances afford means for individual setting of the motor speeds.
