Abstract

298,884. Williams, L. L. Feb. 6, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 295,843. Bodies. - The mouldings described in the parent Specification are modified so that when the longitudinally extending lips are forced home a cavity is formed in the interior to provide a space for the heads of the retaining devices and the lips are also formed with ribs which are caused to abut the base of the moulding when the lip or lips are forced home. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2 the lips 14, 15 when forced home leave a cavity 17 for the heads of the nails 13 and are provided with ribs 16 which abut the base 11 of the moulding. Fig. 6 shows a drip moulding having one lip 21 only showing the cavity 17 and the rib 16. Fig. 8 shows a moulding provided with two lips 22 extending outwardly and so shaped as to provide cavities for the heads of the nails 13 which are driven into the body of the vehicle in the manner shown.
