Abstract

296,914. Drinkwater, G. C. Oct. 14, 1927. Rowlocks. - A fixed rowlock is constructed with a metal thole block revolving freely on a metal pin bolted to the rigger. A metal pin A mounted in a base P is provided with ball bearings E, E<1> upon which the hollow metal plate B is secured so as to be freely revolvable; for this purpose a sleeve F and distance piece G is used before applying the clamping nut M. The block has four flat faces but may be circular in outline. The pin is bored and provided with a grease gun nipple N for lubrication purposes. Specification 27027/08 is referred to.
