Abstract
294,904. Laurent de la Ville le Roulx, R. L. J., (Assignee of Allain, L. H. M.). July 29, 1927, [Convention date]. Counting-apparatus.-The numeral drums of a counter are mounted alternately on two parallel shafts as shown in Fig. 2, and the glass cover through which the mmierals are viewed is shaped to bring the alternating numerals into line and to magnify them. On the solid face of each drum are ten pins d and these lock with the periphery of the lower drum in the manner shown in Fig. 9 until at transfer a pin e on the latter engages one of the pins d and in conjunction with symmetrically positioned slots f1, f2 steps the higher drum one place. Figs. 10 and 11 illustrate the optical reading arrangement, the glass cover being cut as shown to magnify the two numerals g, h on neighbouring drums and bring their images into line.
