Abstract

287,907. Schat. A. P. March 29, 1927, [Convention date]. Pulley-blocks. - In braking means for pulleyblocks of the kind in which one or more pulleys are pressed by rotation of their shaft against a stationary part of the block, the eccentric part 13 of the shaft 14 on which the pulley rotates and by means of which it can be moved towards or away from the braking surface is slipped loosely on to a non-circular part 17 of the shaft. The regulating lever 15, 16 is mounted on the shaft in a similar manner. Non-rotatable loose collars 20 prevent the displacement of the shaft in the casing. Wing nuts 18 on the ends of the shaft keep the parts in position. The fixed end of the rope 22 is attached to the short arm of the lever.
