277,813. Glahome, J. Oct. 6, 1926. Hand-trucks. - In a hand-truck of the kind provided with a pair of arms adapted to grip the lowermost box of a column of boxes or a cask, sack, &c., the arms are adapted to slide laterally, are disposed outside of and parallel to the sides of the truck, and have their lower ends bent or curved forwardly, the arms being carried by pairs of rods disposed transversely of the truck and sliding in tubes or bearings carried thereby. The arms f having forwardly projecting portions f<1> are carried by rods h sliding in tubes j and connected to pivoted levers m which are operated by a lever p or pedal through links n or links t. A spike or spikes g may be provided on the portions f<1>.
