Abstract

276,816. Green, A. Aug. 10, 1926. Athletic shoes.-A shoe for golfers is provided with a single strap 8, Fig. 1, lasted in with the upper and located on the outside of the upper but on the inner side of the shoe. The outer end of the strap is eyeletted at 12 to enable it to be secured in position by the same lace that is used to fasten the shoe. Preferably the frce end of the strap does not extend beyond the top edge of the upper or its vent. One or more eyelet holes 12 may be formed in the strap 8. Where increased suppert is required the strap H is passed through a loop 15, Fig. 5, fixed to the upper.
