Abstract

The Ostomy bag contents container is a container that allow emptying of a Ostomy bag it a manner that allows the operator to use both hand, is attached to the Ostomy bag and has liquid to gel powder in it to allow leak and odour free storage.

Description

Ostomy bag contents container This Invention relates to emptying an Ostomy bag when facilities to dispose of the waste aren't available.
People with Ostomy bags rely on access to public toilets to empty their Ostomy bags when they are out in public and the Ostomy bag becomes full.
However, unlike going to the toilet this can take you by surprise and not emptying the Ostomy bag when it is full could lead to leaks in the bag and ruptures, to just open the bag without somewhere to dispose of the contents will lead to mess, smell and embarrassment. To overcome this issue the present invention allows an Ostomy bag to be emptied in to a container that allow both hands to be free to empty the Ostomy bag, provided stability to stop spillages when emptying the bag and allow leak and odour free storage of the contents of the Ostomy bag after emptying it. The Ostomy bag contents container is designed to be small and easy to carry and be discrete.
The Ostomy bag contents container could also come with a second bag for storage.
The Ostomy bag contents container could also come with materials to clean the Ostomy bag after emptying.
The invention will now be described by way of example and drawings Figure 1 Shows the Ostomy bag contents container that the Ostomy bag is connected to and the contents poured in to, it highlights the adhesive used to connect the bags and gel inside it that extracts water and odour to make it easier to store.
Items 1 and 2 show the handles that the operator puts their hands through to operate the Ostomy Bag.
Item 3 show the placement, inside rear, of the adhesive that attaches the Ostomy bag contents container to the Ostomy bag.
Items 4 shows the powered that turns liquid to gel located inside the bag.
The bag is operated by inserting the Ostomy bag inside the Ostomy bag contents container, fastening the Ostomy bag contents container on to the back side of the Ostomy bag using the adhesive strip (item 3 on figure 1) on the inside of the Ostomy bag contents container. It is fastened on the Ostomy bag above the opening of the Ostomy bag. The operator then inserts their hands through the handles on the bag (items 1 and 2 on figure 1), the operator undoes the Ostomy bag using a combination of fingers and the thumb on both hands, one hand on either side of the bag. By the operator putting their hands through the handles of the Ostomy bag contents container it provides security that the Product won't drop once the contents of the Ostomy bag is emptied into the Ostomy bag contents container.
The tape on the inside of the Ostomy bag contents container (item 3 on figure 1) creates a connection between the Ostomy bag and the Ostomy bag contents container, so while the operators hand and wrists take the weight of the bag, the tape keeps the Ostomy bag and the Ostomy bag contents container in line with each other to prevent spilling.
The operator then empties the contents of the Ostomy bag in to the Ostomy bag contents container.
The contents of the Ostomy bag contents container makes contact with the powered that turns liquid to gel (item 4 of figure 1) making storage easier and reduce odours.
The operator holds the Ostomy bag contents container and moves excess air out of it, the Ostomy bag contents container sealed.
The optional secondary storage bag could then be used as well as the optional cleaning material
