Abstract
The mobile washing line includes first 2 and second 4 upright posts, each post having at least one crossbar 6a, 6b, 8a, 8b, mounted thereon to which at least one line 20, 22, is coupled. The line extends between the posts when the washing line is in an unfolded configuration. A foldable linkage 28 extends between the two posts. The linkage is reconfigurable between an unfolded configuration, in which the posts are spaced from one another, and the line is tensioned therebetween, and a folded configuration (Figure 7), in which the posts are located adjacent one another with the line resting slack between the posts. The linkage may include spacer bars 16, 18, pivotably coupled to the posts. Pivotal couplings (24, 26, Figure 3) may be lockable to maintain the washing line in either its folded or unfolded configuration. The pivotal couplings may include inter-engaging formations such as teeth (36, Figure 12), a clamping pivot pin 34, and a biasing means such as a compression spring 38. The posts may each have a leg 10, 12, with ground engaging castor wheels 14. The line/s may be coupled via pulley/s (44, Figure 15) and include a tensioning device (48, Figure 18).
