Description

PAPER CONTAINER FOR COSMETIC PRODUCTS FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention relates to cosmetic containers and more particularly to a paper container for cosmetic products.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] For decreasing pollution to the environment, some manufactures have changed the material of manufacturing cosmetic containers from plastic to paper. In a conventional paper container for cosmetic products, a magnet is provided on each of a cover and a receptacle so that the container can be securely closed due to magnetic attraction when one magnet is attached to the other magnet.
[0003] However, the container is provided with the magnets which are required to be classified when the container is recycled. This is no good to the environmental protection.
[0004] Thus, the need for improvement still exists.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a paper container comprising a casing made of cardboard and including a cover, a base, and a hinged section hingedly interconnected to the cover and the base; and a sheet of paper attached to inner surfaces of both the cover and the hinged section; wherein the cover comprises a mating member including a joining portion having one surface attached to the cover and the other surface attached to the sheet of paper, a hinged front portion, an intermediate portion hingedly interconnected to the joining portion and the hinged front portion, and a tab at a joining edge of the hinged front portion and the intermediate portion; and wherein the base includes a receptacle in a top surface for receiving a cosmetic product, a through hole through the receptacle, and a complementary mating member on a front end of a bottom of the base, the complementary mating member being configured to receive the hinged front portion when the cover is closed onto the base.
[0006] It is another object of the invention to provide a paper container comprising a casing made of cardboard and including a cover, a base, and a hinged section hingedly interconnected to the cover and the base; and a sheet of paper attached to inner surfaces of both the cover and the hinged section; wherein the cover comprises a mating member including a joining portion having one surface attached to the cover and the other surface attached to the sheet of paper, and a hinged front portion; and wherein the base includes at least one receptacle in a top surface for receiving at least one cosmetic product, a through hole through each of the at least one receptacle, and a complementary mating member on a top surface of the base, the complementary mating member being configured to receive the hinged front portion when the cover is closed onto the base.
[0007] It is a further object of the invention to provide a paper container comprising a casing made of cardboard and including a cover, a base, and a hinged section hingedly interconnected to the cover and the base; and a sheet of paper attached to inner surfaces of both the cover and the hinged section; wherein the cover comprises a mating member in an outer surface, and a graphics display area disposed on the outer surface of the cover and adjacent to the mating member; and wherein the base includes a complementary mating member extending out of a front end of a bottom of the base and corresponding to the mating member, the complementary mating member including a hinged joining portion integrally formed with a front end of the base, a hinged front portion configured to insert into the mating member, and a tab at a joining edge of the hinged joining portion and the hinged front portion.
[0008] Preferably, the cover further comprises a recess in the inner surface, the recess having two tapered sides, the recess including a cavity around an edge; a mirror in the recess and fastened by the cavity; and a cut disposed in the inner surface of the cover adjacent to an edge of the mirror.
[0009] The invention has the following advantages and benefits in comparison with the conventional art: [0010] Recyclable for environmental protection purposes. The mirror is tucked in the cavity to be secured to the cover rather than secured to the cover by means of adhesive. This arrangement can decrease pollution to the environment. After a cosmetic product contained in the paper container has been consumed, a person can easily disengage the mirror from the cover by taking the mirror out of the recess and the cavity for recycling purposes. The casing is made of cardboard rather than plastic material and adhesive. Thus, it is environmentally friendly.
[0011] Reusable. A cosmetic box can be releasably disposed in the receptacle. After a cosmetic product contained in the cosmetic box has been consumed, an individual may insert his or her finger through the through hole to push the cosmetic box out of the receptacle. The paper container can be reused for environmental protection purposes.
