Description

Patent "Dr Light" This invention relates to a device that allows you to put a tablet into a dental light to improve patient comfort When patients are sitting in the dental chair, this light will sit directly above them, allowing them to watch tv, watch the treatment with the front camera facing them, and also allow the dentist to use the lights to carry out the treatment The use of regular dental lights works well for practitioners, allowing them to carry out treatment successfully, this invention takes into consideration patient comfort. With 'Dr Light' you can place any tablet into the light unit and give patients the chance to distract themselves from the treatment.
The unit will have LED lights around the border to allow clinicians to do their work-the lights will be dimmable; they will also be changeable from white light to yellow light for composite restorations.
You will be able to remove the front screen to allow you to clasp into place a tablet and this front screen will be wipeable to avoid any issues with infection control. A rubber gasket will maintain moisture control within the unit, this will be removable and autoclavable.
Behind the device you will have an induction charger to make sure that the device is always charging-this will be wired into the base of the light.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1: shows the full view of the light, the light is shown as ceiling mounted, but can be chair and wall mounted as with normal dental lights.
Figure 2: shows the front view of the light, in effect what the patient will see Figure 3: shows the side view of the light Figure 4: shows the inside if he light with no device in it, it shows the wireless charging station and the clasps for the device to sit into.
