Abstract

269,877. Schubert, H. April 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Sieves and screens, forms and construction of. -A sifting grate comprises two sieve surfaces movable relatively to each other for the purpose of cleaning the grate. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the grate comprises two sets of bars a, b, the bars b being movable in a vertical direction relatively to the bars a and preferably of less width. In a modification the bars are provided with inclined sides, and are relatively adjustable to vary the size of the sifting apertures. Fig. 6 shows a construction in which the relatively movable sieves consist of crosed bars a', b<3> provided on their upper and lower sides with notches.
