Open tray burners: burners, attaching; overflow fittings.-An oil burner comprises a plate 12 formed with an oil groove or grooves 13 and a vapour groove or grooves 18 connected by ducts 19 which open into the oil groove at a higher level than the bottom of the groove. The plate 12 supports perforated shells 24 - - 27 fitted with caps 31, 32 for closing the top of the shell 27 and the space between the shells 25, 26. Oil is supplied to the grooves 13 at such a rate as not to overflow into the grooves 18 through valve-controlled pipes 14 which may be fitted with drip cups 17. The base 12 is mounted so as to be adjustable vertically in a tubular support 9 rising from a triangular base 6 provided with a leg 7 at one corner and levelling screws 8 at the others.
