Ear-pieces and attachments. - An adjustable ear-piece, adapted to carry a telephone receiver, comprises a sound-passage member which is held in sound-tight engagement with the auditory canal by a yielding member engaging within the ear. In the device shown in Fig. 2, a telephone receiver 6, which may be of the kind described in Specification 248,245, is connected to a mounting member 1 having a sound-passage therethrough, and shaped so that its tip 4 fits into and fills the mouth of the auditory canal. An adjustable spring 2 is attached to one side of the mounting 1, and is so shaped that it engages within and around the concha of the ear, and exerts a forward pressure upon the member 1, holding it in the required position. Fig. 1 shows the mounting member in position within an ear, but with the telephone receiver detached. Fig. 7 shows another construction, having a modified form of spring 16 engaging somewhat differently within the ear. In this case, the mounting member 1 is so shaped that it substantially fills the lower portion of the outer ear, as shown in Fig. 5. The member 1 may be made of the substance known by the registered Trade Mark " Bakelite. "
