Bed &c. rests. - A transverse vertically-adjustable back-rest is fitted in the centre piece of a surgical table top and with a thigh-holder support readily adjustable in relation with the back rest, holds the patient in the lateral or semiprone position. A stem a<1> on two lateral wings a of a back support is inserted in one of several holes b' in the back-rest b. A rod c vertically adjusted on a rod d engaging a hole in the backrest carries a rod g<1> supporting the thigh-holder g by a sliding rotatable sleeve e carrying a sleeve f.
