Description
[0001] TITLE: LOCK CYLINDER FOR USE IN LOCK DEVICE
[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The present invention relates to a lock cylinder, and more particularly to a lock cylinder for use in a lock device.
[0004] DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
[0005] A known profile cylinder lock is provided in such as Chinese Patent No. CN2048044771J, "improved structure of anti-break profile cylinder lock", which shows in FIG. 3 that a characterizing feature of the patent is that a lock cylinder body has a notch in communication with the lock cylinder through hole. The notch is located in the center of the lock cylinder body and divides the lock cylinder though hole into an inner lock cylinder through and a handle through hole. An inner lock cylinder comprises an axle and the axle is formed with a keyway extending from an outer end face toward an inner axis and penetrating into the inner lock cylinder though hole. A sleeve of a lock cylinder cam is fitted at a middle of an inner lock cylinder rotating axle to be then set at the notch and fastened by a riveting member. The inner lock cylinder rotating axle penetrates through the sleeve of the lock cylinder cam and the handle through hole to fix to a handle.
[0006] In the patent, the inner lock cylinder is operated in combination with the 20 handle so that a relatively large effort is required to rotate the lock cylinder cam and the handle together when unlocking is carried out outdoors with a key, while when opening the door with the handle, due to the handle being relatively small, force application is difficult.
[0007] Other profile cylinder locks available in the market also have such a 5 design that keyways are provided on both sides, or a keyway at one side while no opening mechanism at an opposite side. Both designs require additional expenses to additionally set up a handle for door opening.
[0008] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] To achieve the above objective, the present invention provides a lock cylinder for use in a lock device, which comprises: a main body, the main body having a first side and a second side, the main body being formed with a first hole, the first hole extending through the first side and the second side of the main body, the main body being formed with a hollowed portion, the main body being formed with a notch portion; a first switch tab, the first switch tab being arranged in the hollowed portion of the main body, the first switch tab being formed with a second hole, the first switch tab comprising a protruding portion, the protruding portion being receivable in the notch portion of the main body; a second switch tab, the second switch tab being arranged in the hollowed portion of the main body, the second switch tab comprising a connected portion, the second switch tab comprising a protruding portion, the protruding portion being receivable in the notch portion of the main body, the second switch tab being formed with a mounting portion; and an unlocking member, the unlocking member being received in and extending through the first hole, the unlocking member being formed with a lock hole, the unlocking member comprising a fixing portion, the fixing portion being connected to the second hole of the first switch tab to fix the first switch tab thereto so that the first switch tab is rotatable in unison with the unlocking member, the unlocking member comprising a connecting portion, the connecting portion being connected with the connected portion of the second switch tab.
[0010] In the present invention, the first switch tab is supported by and fixed on the fixing portion of the unlocking member, so that the first switch tab is rotatable in unison with the unlocking member, and also, the connected portion of the second switch tab is connected to and supported by the connecting portion of the unlocking member, so that the second switch tab is freely rotatable on the connecting portion, and as such it is achieved that in operation of door opening at the first side or the second side of the main body, the first switch tab and the second switch tab are not manipulated synchronously, so that under the condition that the mounting portion is provided with a handle or a rotary knob attached thereto, when a key is applied to carry out door opening, rotation of the key does not necessarily cause the handle or the rotary knob to rotate simultaneously to thereby requiring no relatively large effort for such an operation.
