Abstract
A holder for sanitary items such as pads comprises a first section 3 into which used or soiled items are placed and a second section 5 in which clean unused or new items are stored. The device may be made from waterproof or water resistant material. A zip 1or popper 3 arrangement may be provided to seal the containers. The holder has a central fold line 4 which may be stitched. The holder may be made in different sizes and may be lined.
Description
Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder (CSP Combo Holder)
Background
Women are increasingly using reusable sanitary products and, as such, arc looking for ways to facilitate case of use and practicality of use of the same. In particular the storage of used and unused cloth sanitary pads whilst away from home comforts.
The purpose of the Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder is to facilitate ease of storage for women's reusable cloth sanitary pads, be the pads used and/or unused.
Statement of Invention
I realised a niche -a combination (combo) holder for cloth sanitary pads. This holder would be one, but would combine two purposes -that of a discrete poppered holder for clean cloth sanitary pads and, on the other side of the holder, an area secured by a zip to store used cloth sanitary pads for a short period.
A dual use, book opening holder of which would be partly or wholly made from water proof and/or water resistant materials.
These holders I envisaged being used to carry cloth sanitary pads in a ladies handbag, stored in her coat pocket, kept in an overnight hag -the possibilities seem almost endless. Sizes would be variable and could be classified as Mini, Standard and Large, for example.
Introduction to Drawings
A description of my invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
The measurements of the mini size could be considered as follows; being of a "handbag size": * When opened, the total external length of the holder being 30cm, with a width of 17cm.
* When opened, the total internal length being 27.5cm, with a width of 17cm.
* When opened, the zippered section measures 15cm, with a width of 17cm.
* When closed, the zippered section also measures 15cm, with a width of 17cm.
* When opened the pocket of the poppered compartment measures 12.5cm, with a width of 17cm.
* When closed, the pocket of the poppered compartment measures 15cm, with a width of 17cm.
Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 pertain to my invention of a Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder in a "Mini" size, suitable for carrying in most handbags.
Figure 1 shows the Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder opened, when laid flat, showing the external side (the side of which would be visible when the holder is closed).
Figure 2 shows the Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder opened, when laid flat, showing the side of which is concealed when the holder is closed.
Figure 3 shows the Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder folded and poppered closed, when viewed from the zip (used) external side.
Figure 4 shows the Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder folded and poppered closed when viewed from the poppered (unused/clean) external side.
Figure 5 shows a standard site of the Cloth Sanitary Pad Combination Holder of which could approximately double the width of the mini, and feature one or two poppers to fasten the clean section. Figure 5 illustrates the holder when laid flat, showing the external side (the side of which would be visible when the holder is closed).
A large size could be of any size exceeding that of a standard size, and may require more poppers and extra stitching for reinforcement, and/or lining.
