Abstract

Two interlocking, symmetric, relatively flat shell parts 50, 52 have partitions 53 on their internal faces to define a multicompartmental container when fixed together by interlocking formations 521, 504. Each compartment has an opening, one opening 501 being in the main face of one of the parts and the others 502 preferably being around the edge where the parts meet. Each compartment can receive a pad of adhesive notes 2, 3. The container can be round, square, petal shaped or heart shaped. The interlocking formations can be posts and sockets and/or stepped edges which may release to allow refilling. Multiple outer compartments can surround the containers outer wall forming an annular holding space. One of the containers dimentions can be 6-8.6 times the length of another dimension.

Description

SELF-ADHESIVE FILM NOTE DISPENSER BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to self-adhesive film note dispensers.
2. Description of Related Art
Post-it notes are provided to record important to-do items and commonly used contact items. Common post-it notes comprise many papers stuck to one another in a stack using adhesive having appropriate to stickiness applied locally on the bottom side and the same side of each piece of paper, achieving the effect of extending the effectiveness over time and repeated usage. In use, users select the film notes of different sizes according to the situation and their preferences. The self-adhesive film note groups can be supplemented automatically.
Most people like post-it notes due to their tear-and-use advantage.
However, it has been discovered that after prolonged use it is hard to separate one piece from a stack of post-it notes when the user tries to do so. Often the user needs to use one hand to press the notes so that the other hand can tear off one piece smoothly. Since self-adhesive film notes are made of thin paper and the same actions need to be repeated in the case of needing to take the next piece after having taken one piece already, note peeling and taking is more difficult without the aid of a guide device. Therefore, film note dispenser bodies able to separate self-adhesive film notes have been devised to solve the problem. However, in the carrying aspect, the usable space of the dispenser body needs to be planned to make the volume light and thin for the convenience of carrying in terms of the volume of the film note dispenser body and from the point of carrying functionality. Moreover, multiple self-adhesive film note groups need to be provided in proper proportions to be carried together. Therefore, structural space planning, functional application and aesthetic appearance of the dispenser body are objectives for industrial practitioners to achieve through innovation.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of invention provide a self-adhesive film note dispenser, which has the characteristics of novel appearance, great convenience for carrying or putting on desktop for use and the ability to hold self-adhesive film notes of different types and allow the pull out of pieces of note one after another for continuous extraction.
The invention provides a self-adhesive film note dispenser. The dispenser body is a flat dispenser body consisting of an upper shell body and a lower shell body apparently symmetrical with each other. The inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with a convex step edge and a concave step edge that fit with each other respectively, which are engaged and pieced together to form the combined dispenser body. There are several holding spaces in the combined dispenser body to hold multiple self-adhesive film note groups with a long opening and several openings provided accordingly for the extraction of notes individually. The next piece could be pulled out of the dispenser body after each piece of self-adhesive film note is pulled out. When the self-adhesive film notes are exhausted or a change of type is desired, the self-adhesive film note groups may be changed or supplemented by separating the upper shell body and the lower shell body.
The upper shell body and the lower shell body may be transparent or non-transparent.
The inner side of the periphery of said upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with the convex step edge and the concave step edge that fit with each other respectively to reinforce the tight connection and lateral resistance of the dispenser body and prevent it from falling apart after it is dropped.
The self-adhesive film note dispenser may be in the round flat, square flat, flat heart-shaped and petal-shaped form. The dispenser body inside is divided into multiple holding spaces by partitions to contain multiple rectangular self-adhesive film note groups and square self-adhesive film note groups.
The inner side of the periphery of said upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with a concave hole and a convex io column respectively and correspondingly to fit with each other. The dispenser body is formed by engaging and piecing the upper shell body and the lower shell body together.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
FIGS. 1 to 4 show a round flat self-adhesive film note dispenser that provides a convenient means of carrying or putting multiple self-adhesive film note groups on a desktop for use. The self-adhesive film note dispenser is designed in a round flat form, comprising a round flat dispenser body (1) consisting of an upper shell body (10) and a lower shell body (12) that are substantially symmetrical with each other. The upper shell body (10) and the lower shell body (12) are round transparent, or non-transparent, shell bodies. The upper shell body (10) inside of the dispenser body (1) is divided into multiple holding spaces by partitions to contain multiple self-adhesive film note groups individually. The self-adhesive film notes of each group are extracted via an elongate opening (101) and plurality of side openings (11) associated with the respective holding spaces. The elongate opening (101) is provided in the upper shell body (10) surface and is a rectangular opening. The side openings (11) are square openings arranged in spaced apart relation around the periphery of the dispenser body (1). Each side opening (11) is formed and pieced together by two symmetrical notches (102, 120) arranged on the periphery of the upper shell body (10) and the lower shell body (12) respectively. In the dispenser body (1), four circular segment partitions (103) are provided on a pitch circle inside the upper shell body (10). An annular holding space (13) is defined in the dispenser body (1) by the outside peripheries of four circular partitions (103) and the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body (10) and that of the lower shell body (12). A square holding space (14) is enclosed by the inner sides of the four circular segment partitions (103).
In the combination aspect of the dispenser body (1), the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body (10) and that of the lower shell body (12) are respectively provided with a plurality of concave holes (104) and convex columns (121). The concave holes (104) and convex columns (121) are configured to fit one another. A round flat dispenser body (1) is formed by engaging and piecing together the upper shell body (10) and the lower shell body (12). In order to achieve a tight connection of the two parts of the dispenser body (1) and prevent them from falling apart, the periphery of the upper shell body (10) and the lower shell body (12) are respectively provided with a concave step edge (105) and a convex step edge (122) configured to fit one another to reinforce the connection between the bodies (10, 12) and provide lateral separation resistance.
The annular holding space (13) contains four rectangular self-adhesive film note groups (2) that can be accessed via the respective side openings (11) arranged on periphery of the dispenser body (1). The square holding space (14) provides a holding space for a group of square self-adhesive film notes (3) that are extracted via the corresponding elongate opening (101).
FIGS. 5 to 8 are diagrams illustrating another self-adhesive film note group dispenser. This self-adhesive film note group dispenser comprises a square flat dispenser body (4) comprising a square transparent, or non-transparent, upper shell body (40) and lower shell body (42) that are substantially symmetrical with one another. The interior of the dispenser body (4) is divided into multiple holding spaces by partitions to contain multiple self-adhesive film note groups. The self-adhesive film notes of each group are respectively extracted from an elongate opening (401) and a plurality of side openings (41) that are associated with the holding spaces. The elongate opening (401) is provided in the upper shell body (40) surface and is a rectangular opening. The side openings (41) are square openings arranged in spaced apart relation about the periphery of the dispenser body (4). Each side opening (41) is formed and pieced together by two symmetrical notches (402, 420) arranged on the periphery of the upper shell body (40) and the lower shell body (42) respectively. The internal partition inside the dispenser body (4) is a square partition (403) arranged in the upper shell body (40). An peripherally disposed holding space (43) is defined in the dispenser body (4) by the outside of the square partition (403) and the respective inner sides of the periphery of the upper shell body (40) and that of the lower shell body (42). The holding space (43) comprises four segments that each extend along substantially the entire length of the respective sides of the dispenser body (4). A square holding space (44) is enclosed by the inner side of the square partition (403).
In the combination aspect of the dispenser body (4), the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body (40) and that of the lower shell body (42) are respectively provided with concave holes (404) and convex columns (421) that fit one another. The square flat dispenser body (4) is formed by engaging and piecing together the upper shell body (40) and the lower shell body (42). In order to achieve a tight connection of the two parts of the dispenser body (4) and prevent them from falling apart, the periphery of the upper shell body (40) and the lower shell body (42) are respectively provided with a concave step edge (405) and a convex step edge (422) that fit one another to reinforce the connection and provide lateral separation resistance.
The holding space (43) contains four groups of rectangular self-adhesive film notes (2) that are extractable via the respective side openings (41) arranged on periphery of the dispenser body (4). The square holding space (44) provides a holding space for a group of square self-adhesive film notes (3) that are extractable via the elongate opening (401).
FIGS. 9 to 11 illustrate a heart-shaped self-adhesive film note group dispenser. The self-adhesive film note group dispenser has a heart-shaped dispenser body (5) comprising a heart-shaped transparent or non-transparent upper shell body (50) and a lower shell body (52) that are substantially symmetrical one another. The interior of the dispenser body (5) is divided into multiple holding spaces by internal partitions to contain multiple self-adhesive film note groups. The self-adhesive film notes of each group can be extracted via an elongate opening (501) and a plurality of side openings (51) respectively associated with the holding spaces. The elongate opening (501) is provided in the upper shell body (50) surface and is a rectangular opening. The side openings (51) are square openings arranged on opposite sides of the periphery of the dispenser body (5). Each opening (51) is formed and pieced together by two symmetrical notches (502, 520) arranged in spaced apart relation around the periphery of the upper shell body (50) and the lower shell body (52). The internal partitions include a square partition (503) arranged in the upper shell body (50). Two discrete symmetrical elongate arcuate holding spaces (53) are defined in the dispenser body (5) along the respective inner sides of the peripheries of the upper shell body (50) and the lower shell body (52) on opposite sides of the square partition (503). A square holding space (54) is enclosed by the inner side of the square partition (503).
In the combination aspect of the dispenser body (5), the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body (50) and that of the lower shell body (52) are provided with respective concave holes (504) and convex columns (521) that fit one another. A flat hear-shaped dispenser body (5) is formed by engaging and piecing together the upper shell body (50) and the lower shell body (52). In order to achieve a tight connection of the two parts of the dispenser body (5) and prevent it from falling apart, the periphery of the upper shell body (50) and the lower shell body (52) are respectively provided with a concave step edge (505) and a convex step edge (522) that fit together to reinforce the connection and provide lateral separation resistance.
Two groups of rectangular self-adhesive film notes (2) are arranged in each elongate arcuate holding space (53) and are extractable via respective side openings (51) arranged on the periphery of the dispenser body (5). The square holding space (54) provides a holding space for a group of square self-adhesive film notes (3) that are extractable via the elongate opening (501).
FIGS. 12 to 14 show a petal-shaped self-adhesive film note group dispenser. The petal-shaped self-adhesive film note group dispenser body (6) comprises a petal-shaped dispenser body (6) comprising a petal-shaped transparent, or non-transparent, upper shell body (60) and lower shell body (62) that are substantially symmetrical with one another. The interior of the dispenser body (6) is divided by internal partitions to provide holding spaces for multiple self-adhesive film note groups. The self-adhesive film notes of each group are extracted from an elongate opening (601) and a plurality of side openings (61) associated with the respective holding spaces. The elongate opening (601) is provided in the upper shell body (60) surface and is a rectangular opening. The side openings (61) are square openings provided in spaced apart relationship in the sides of the periphery of the dispenser body (6). Each side opening (61) is formed and pieced together by two symmetrical notches (602, 620) arranged on the periphery of the upper shell body (60) and the lower shell body (52) respectively. The internal partition inside the dispenser body (5) is a square partition (603) arranged in the upper shell body (60).
Multiple discrete arcuate holding spaces (63) are defined in the dispenser body (6) along the inner side of each petal-shaped periphery of the upper shell body (60) and that of the lower shell body (62) outwardly of the square partition (603). A square holding space (64) is enclosed by the inner side of the square partition (603).
In the combination aspect of the dispenser body (6), the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body (60) and that of the lower shell body (62) are provided with a plurality of concave holes (604) and corresponding convex columns (621) that mate with one another. A petal-shaped dispenser body (6) is formed by engaging and piecing together the upper shell body (60) and the lower shell body (62). In order to achieve the tight connection of the dispenser body (6) and prevent the two parts from falling apart, the periphery of the upper shell body (60) and the lower shell body (62) are respectively provided with a concave step edge (605) and a convex step edge (622) that fit one another to reinforce a tight connection and provide lateral separation resistance.
A rectangular self-adhesive film note group (2) can be provided in each arcuate holding space (63) and film notes from the groups are extractable via the respective side openings (61) arranged on the periphery of the dispenser body (6). The square holding space (64) provides a holding space for a group of square self-adhesive film notes (3) that are extractable via the corresponding elongate opening (601). The four kinds of self-adhesive film note dispenser described above have a dispenser body that is round flat, square flat, flat heart-5 shaped or petal-shaped (lobed). The form of dispenser body is not only novel in appearance, but also very convenient for carrying or putting on desktop for use. The dispenser body is able to hold self-adhesive film notes of different types and allow the removal of successive film notes from the groups of film notes contained in the holding spaces in the 10 dispenser body. When the self-adhesive film notes are exhausted or running low, the self-adhesive film note groups can be changed or supplemented by pulling open the side openings using two finger tips to open the dispenser body. Then, the dispenser body can be re assembled for use by piecing the upper shell body and the lower shell body together.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to the described embodiments, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims (18)

  1. CLAIMS1. A self-adhesive film note dispenser comprising a flat dispenser body having an upper shell body and a lower shell body that are substantially symmetrical with respect to one another, wherein the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are respectively provided with a concave step edge and a convex step edge that fit one another when the shell bodies are engaged to form the dispenser body, the interior of the dispenser body is divided into multiple holding spaces by partitions to contain respective self-adhesive film note groups from which film notes are individually extractable via respective openings associated with said holding spaces, and said openings comprise an elongate opening provided in a major face of the dispenser body top and a plurality of side openings arranged about the periphery of the dispenser body.

A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the dispenser body has a round flat form, the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with a plurality of groups of concave holes and convex columns that fit with each other, said partitions comprise four circular segment partitions arranged to define an annular holding space between their outside peripheries and the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body and a square holding space enclosed by their inner sides, wherein the annular holding space is provided with four rectangular self-adhesive film note groups from which film notes are extractable via respective said side openings and the square holding space is provided with a group of square self-adhesive film notes from which film notes are extractable via the elongate opening.

A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in Claim I, wherein the dispenser body has a square flat form, the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with a plurality of groups of concave holes and convex columns that fit each other, said partitions define a square holding space and an annular holding space that is disposed between the dispenser body and the outside of the square partition, the annular holding space is provided with four rectangular self-adhesive film note groups from which film notes are extractable via respective said side openings, and the square holding space is provided with a group of square self-adhesive film notes from which film notes are extractable via the elongate opening
  4. 4. A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the upper shell body and the lower shell body are configured to define a flat heart shaped dispenser body, the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with a plurality of groups of concave holes and convex columns that fit each other, said partitions define a square holding space and a plurality of discrete arcuate holding spaces that are disposed between the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body and the outside of square partition on opposite sides of the square holding space, respective groups of rectangular self-adhesive film notes are arranged in the arcuate holding spaces from which film notes are extractable via respective said side openings and the square holding space contains a square self-adhesive film note group from which film notes are extractable via the elongate opening.
  5. 5. A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the upper shell body and the lower shell body are configured to define a flat petal-shaped dispenser body, the inner side of the periphery of the upper shell body and that of the lower shell body are provided with a plurality of groups of concave holes and convex columns that fit each other, the partitions comprise a square partition that defines a square holding space and a plurality of arcuate partitions cooperable with the inner side of the petal-shaped periphery of the upper shell body and io that of the lower shell body to define a plurality of discrete arcuate holding spaces outside of the square partition, a group of rectangular self-adhesive film notes is provided in each arcuate holding space from which film notes are extractable via the respective side opening and the square holding space contains a square self-adhesive film note group from which film notes are extractable via the elongate opening
  6. 6. A self-adhesive film note dispenser comprising a first body shell and a second body shell that can be engaged to provide a flat dispenser body having an interior space, wherein said first body shell has a peripheral wall, said second body shell has a peripheral wall that has at least substantially the same profile as the peripheral wall of the first body shell, partitioning is provided in said interior space to define a plurality of holding spaces, said first body shell has a major surface provided with an elongate opening and said peripheral walls define a plurality of side openings to permit film notes to be pulled from self-adhesive film note groups disposed in the respective holding spaces associated with the openings and said peripheral walls are provided with cooperating formations that inter-engage when said first and second body shells engage.
  7. 7. A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 6, wherein said first and second body shells are releaseably engageable to permit refilling of said holding spaces.
  8. 8. A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 6 or 7, wherein said partitioning defines an internally disposed holding space associated with said elongate opening and at least one outer holding space disposed between said peripheral walls and said internally disposed holding space.
  9. 9. A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 8. wherein said at least one outer holding space comprises an annular holding space that surrounds said internally disposed holding space.
  10. 10.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 9, wherein said partitioning comprises a plurality of partitions that each have an arcuate outer wall that partially defines said annular holding space and an inner wall that partially defines said internally disposed holding space and said internally disposed holding space is rectangular.
  11. 11.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 9, wherein said partitioning comprises a rectangular wall that defines said annular holding space and said internally disposed holding space.
  12. 12.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 9, wherein said partitioning defines two outer holding spaces that are elongate arcuate holding spaces disposed in opposed spaced apart relationship.
  13. 13.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 12, wherein said dispenser body has a heart-shaped profile.
  14. 14.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 9, wherein said partitioning comprises a plurality of arcuate partitions that cooperate with respective arcuate segments of said peripheral walls to define a plurality of discrete arcuate outer holding spaces.
  15. 15.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in claim 14, wherein to each arcuate segment has opposite ends and curves outwardly from said ends and said arcuate segments are joined end-to-end to define an undulating profile.
  16. 16. A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in any one claims 6, 15, wherein said formations comprise a first circumferentially extending formation provided in a free end of said peripheral wall of said first body shell and a second circumferentially extending formation provided in a free end of said peripheral wall of second body shell and one of said first and second circumferentially extending formations is disposed outwardly of the other to permit said inter-engagement.
  17. 17.A self-adhesive film note dispenser as claimed in any one claims 6 to 16, wherein said first and second body shells comprise respective locating formations that comprise projections provided in one said body shell that are configured to mate with recesses provided in the other said body shell.
