Abstract

An exercise device comprises a carriage 16 having four wheels 17 that roll through a channel 18 and a vertical grip 1. A user may push or pull the grip forwards and backwards to move the carriage, which is connected to a chain (8, figure A) that moves around three cogs 5, 5a, 5b. One of the cogs may be configured to transmit motion to a flywheel 7 that preferably comprises a groove in its outer rim around which a friction break strap (6) may be wrapped to provide a required resistance. A resistance adjustment knob (10) may be provided. The exercise device may be used to train the upper body, arms, shoulder, chest and back muscles.

Description

The saw design This invention is a training tool for the upper body, arms, shoulder, chest, and back muscles. The idea is that the exercise simulated the action of a saw by pushing and pulling respectively, resulting in a resistance to movement in both directions respectively to achieve optimum benefits to the above mentioned muscles group, which would ordinarily require several pieces of equipment to achieve,by having comprehensive muscle management device the work out will insure that muscle building is distributed proportionally throughout the upper body.the device is suitable for all ages by preset resistance adjustment.
The saw design technical description,
Grip (1) which built vertically on small Carriage (16) with four Wheels (17) (figure B) prepared to roll by pushing or pulling forward or backward alternatively from Grip (1) ,the carriage (16) (figure B)rolled through a channel (18) that along slit (2) (figure A) from upper side for the vertical Grip (1) to move through either forward or backward (Figure 0) and (B) ,that carriage (16) is connected to a chain (8) that slides over three cogs (5) (5a) (5b) (fixed cog, work both side) (figure E),cogs (5a) (5b) who are mounted on upper both side corners left and right in the frame (figure F) and then continues the chain (8)down to slides on a third cog (5)(fixed,work both side) that coaxially mounted on a shaft ( 13) along with flywheel (7) (figure E) to transfer the motion to the flywheel (7),which is over 10 kg weight to insure stability for the frame and produce a good resistance for pushing or pulling cause from the carriage (16) ,the flywheel (7) moved left and right depend on the movement applied from the carriage (16) Flywheel (7) has a groove (19) on its outer rim, wrapped around this groove (19) a friction break strap (6) decides the amount of friction applied to the flywheel (7)the friction break strap is compound on and connected from one side direct to the frame (14) from other side connected with tensioner spring (9) (figure A) then to a resistance adjustment knob (10) on the frame to be able to adjust the desire resistance by the user. Friction break strap (6) allowed that each Inch has the same resistance by pull or push the carriage (16).
The grip (4) is designed to help stabilise the user body when working out,the shaft has screwed end and, fixed to the upper right side end of the frame (figure A) and removable to enable when the user want to change the stand position to work out the left hand or the right hand, the left hand hold the the grip (4) while the right hand exercised and vice versa.
The equipment stands on two bases (11) (11A) ( figure A) each one has a place to put the foot (pedal) (12) (12a) this ensures that the person exercising has a better grip as he stabilise himself and gain more control over the equipment.

Claims (7)

  1. Claims 1-the Saw design exercise start with pushing or pulling a small carriage with vertical grip and equipped with four wheels, rolling through a Chanel, which covered also the carriage.
  2. 2. the Chanel covered the carriage has along slit such that the carriage vertical grip goes through so the user catch the grip to pull or push the carriage.
  3. 3. The carriage is connected to a chain from forward and backward to transfer the motion to other joints, the chain compound on three cogs which are fixed to the frame.
  4. 4. First cog fixed to the upper right corner, second cog fixed to the upper left corner, third cogs down fixed coaxially along with flywheel,so the motion transfers to the flywheel.
  5. 5. The over 10 kg flywheel with outer rim groove, wrapped a round with friction break strap to produce the resistance wanted.
  6. 6. Friction break strap is connected from one side to the frame and from other side to a spring then to resistance adjustment knob to achieve the exactly desired resistance.
  7. 7. The saw design frame stand on two bases each one has a pedal to step on while exercising.Amendments to the claims have been made as followsCLAIMS* .. 1.
