Description

URINE MEASUREMENT BOX WITH REVERSE CHECK
MECHANISM
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention relates to a measurement box, in particular to a urine measurement box with a reverse check mechanism.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] For patients having taken a surgical operation or patients of renal failure, a urine measurement box is generally used for collecting a patient's urine to observe the recovery condition of the patient's surgical operation, and a patient's urine flow per unit time or the urine discharged by a patient is used for other urine tests to further learn the patient's health recovery condition and prepare for next diagnosis or treatment.
[0003] A conventional urine measurement box comprising a main body haying a casing, a cover and a cavity, wherein the cover is covered onto the casing, and the cavity is formed between the casing and the cover, and a liquid inlet is formed on a side of the casing and interconnected to the cavity, and the cover has a calibration scale. When use, an end of a urinary catheter is connected to a patient, and the other end of the urinary catheter is interconnected to a liquid inlet, so that a patient's urine flows into the cavity of the main body through the urinary catheter to facilitate medical professionals to observe a patient's urine flow per unit time and prepare for a further diagnosis or treatment.
[0004] However, the conventional urine measurement box still has the following drawbacks. Since the liquid inlet does not have any reverse check mechanism, if the measurement box is set upside down by accident, then the urine in the cavity will flow in a reverse direction from the liquid inlet and out of the measurement box, and thus contaminating the environment.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] Therefore, the invention seeks to provide a urine measurement box with a reverse check mechanism, wherein a check valve is installed at a liquid inlet to achieve the cffcct of prcvcnting urinc in thc cavity from flowing in a rcvcrsc direction and out from thc measurement box.
[00061 According to an aspect of the invention there is provided a urine measurement box with a reverse check mechanism, comprising a main body and a check valve; and the main body has a cavity and a liquid inlet interconnected to a liquid inlet of the cavity; and the check valve is installed at the liquid inlet and contained in the cavity, wherein the urine flows in from the liquid inlet to drive the check valve to open the liquid inlet, and the urine can flow in a reverse direction from the cavity to drive the check valve to shut the liquid inlet.
[0007] The main body may include a casing and a cover covered onto the casing, and the cavity may be formed between the casing and the cover.
[0008] The main body may further include an isolation plate which isolates the cavity into a first measurement chamber and a second measurement chamber interconnected with each other. The liquid inlet may be formed at an end of the first measurement chamber.
[0009] The check valve may include a plate body and a valve plate. The plate body may cover the liquid inlet and have a through hole interconnected to the liquid inlet and the first measurement chamber, and the valve plate may be installed between the liquid inlet and the plate body.
[0010] The valve plate may be a thin film which has a C-shaped groove for dividing the thin film into a support portion and a movable portion. The support portion may be disposed at an external periphery of the movable portion.
[0011] The movable portion may have an external diameter greater than the internal diameter of the liquid inlet and smaller than the internal diameter of the through hole.
[0012] The first measurement chamber may have an embedded slot formed adjacent to a sidewall of the liquid inlet, and the plate body may be embedded into the embedded slot.
[0013] The plate body may have a positioning slot formed at a position adjacent to a side of the liquid inlet and provided for installing the valve plate (22).
[0014] The isolation plate may have a through opening formed adjacent to a side of the liquid inlet, and the first measurement chamber and the second measurement chamber may be interconnected to each other through the through opening.
[0015] The cover may have at least one calibration scale.
[0016] The urine measurement box may further comprise an outlet installed on a side of the main body and away from the check valve, and a first outlet valve installed on a side of the first measurement chamber and away from the check valve and interconnected to the outlet.
[0017] The the second measurement chamber may have a second outlet valve disposed on a side of the second measurement chamber and away from the check valve and interconnected to the outlet.
[0018] A switch element may be installed at a side of the main body and linked with the first outlet valve and the second outlet valve to drive the first outlet valve and the second outlet valve to open or shut.
[0019] Certain embodiments of the present invention may have the following effects: 1. If it is necessary to measure a patient's urine by the first measurement chamber, the switch element may be turned on to interconnect the first outlet valve to the outlet, so that the urine in the first measurement chamber can be discharged from the first measurement chamber and out from the outlet. 2. If the urine in the first measurement chamber exceeds the capacity of the first measurement chamber, the urine can flow from the through opening of the isolation plate into the second measurement chamber.
