Abstract
A furniture connector consists of a cavity mount (1), a rotating device and a catch slot (3). The rotating device consists of an anchor shaft (21) and a shaft plate (22) attached to the anchor shaft (21). One end of the rotating device (2) will be fixed to the sidewall with the circular cavity of the cavity mount (1), while the other end will be jutting out at the outer side of the other sidewall. The jutted end has a T-shaped flat head (24). The rotating device can be turned using the anchor shaft (21). The catch slot (3) is cylindrical. Its horizontal surface has a slot that fits the T-shaped flat head (24).
Description
A FURNITURE CONNECTOR
Field of the Invention
This invention involves in furniture manufacturing industry, specially in the type of furniture connector that can be operated without tools.
Background
In fact, especially in the cases of moving large furniture, screws are worn down after being used for long time. Other than that, users are always troubled by the damaged screw holes as they can't be reused.
China Patent No. 200820203790.3 reveals a furniture connector, including male and female sockets. The mentioned male socket comes with a shaft that can be angled to connect with the female socket. The centre part of the mentioned male socket is a cavity.
Summary of the invention
This invention wishes to solve technical issues, where it provides a furniture connector that is compact, overall smaller in size, and suitable for dismantling and fixation of small sized DIV furniture.
The present invention is as claimed in the claims.
This invention solves technical issues by the characteristic of a furniture connector: consist of a cavity mount, a rotating device and a catch slot. Rotating device consists of an anchor shaft and a shaft plate attached to the anchor shaft; the cavity mount has a small groove from top to bottom, the sidewall opposite to the small groove has circular cavity; one end of the anchor shaft of the rotating device will be fitted into the circular cavity of the cavity mount, while another end is fitted into the small groove. The jutted end has a T-shaped flat head. The rotating device can be turned using the anchor shaft. The flat head is at the outer side of the mount. The mentioned catch slot is cylindrical. Its flat surface has a slot that fits the T-shaped flat head.
The mentioned bottom of the small groove is rounded; the diameter of the rounded bottom is bigger than the width of the small groove.
The mentioned anchor shaft has a folded edge.
The top of the cavity mount has a space which can fit the anchor shaft plate.
This invention uses a movable rotating device that is inserted into the cavity mount, together with the 1-shaped flat head of the rotating device and the catch slot, creating a fasten and unfasten operation using rotating movement, then attached the mount and the catch slot to the designated position on the furniture. This invention can replace the existing screw structure.
With this, it is possible to install furniture with bare hand, the repeated dismantles and fixture will not spoil connecting structure, thus achieving the purpose of recurring utilizations.
Description of the drawings
Having thus described the invention in general terms, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawings, which are not necessarily drawn to scale, and wherein: Figure 1 shows the cavity mount, rotating devices and catch slot combined, thus is the whole structure of the invention; and Figure 2 shows the cavity mount, the rotating device and the catch slot piece by piece.
Detailed description of the invention
Kindly refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2, which is the whole structure of the furniture connector that includes cavity 11 mount 1, rotating device 2 and catch slot 3. Rotating device 2 consist of the anchor shaft 21 and the shaft plate 22 attached to the anchor shaft 21. The mentioned shaft plate 22 has a folded edge 23. The sidewall cavity 11 of the mount 1 has a small groove 12 from top to bottom, at the end of the small groove 12 is the rounded groove 13, the diameter of the rounded groove 13 is bigger than the width of the small groove 12. The sidewall opposite to the small groove 12 has circular cavity, the anchor shaft 21 of the rotating device 2 will be fitted into the rounded groove of the cavity mount, while the shaft plate is fitted into the small groove 12, and extend out of the small groove 12. The jutted end has a 1-shaped flat head 24, by turning the shaft plate 22, rotating device 2 is turn by the anchor shaft 21. The catch slot 3 is cylindrical. Its flat surface 31 has a slot 32 that fits the i-shaped flat head 24.
The top of the cavity mount 1 has a sunken area 14 which can fit the anchor shaft plate 22.
Prior to usage, cavity mount 1 and catch slot 3 has to be mounted to designated position of the different furniture parts. Then insert rotating device 2 into the cavity mount 1, follow by attaching the 1-shaped flat head 24 of the rotating device 2 to the slot 32 of the catch slot 3.
Finally turn the shaft plate 22 to turn the T-shaped flat head 24 of the rotating device 2 to a 90 degree, making the T-shaped flat head 23 wedges properly with the corresponding catch slot's skit 32, and achieving fastening purpose. And all can be done without the need to use any tool, greatly reducing the difficulties during fixation. Furthermore, the connector is sturdy and long lasting, clearly has high utilization values.
Claims (5)
- Claims 1. A furniture connector including a cavity mount, a rotating device and a catch slot, the rotating device including an anchor shaft and a shaft plate attached to the anchor shaft; the cavity mount having a small groove from top to bottom, the sidewall opposite to the small groove having a circular cavity, and in which one end of the anchor shaft of the rotating device F can be fitted into the circular cavity of the cavity mount while another end is fitted into the small groove, the jutted end having a T-shaped flat head, the rotating device being turnable using the anchor shaft, the flat head being at the outer side of the mount, the catch slot being cylindrical and Its horizontal surface having a slot that fits the i-shaped flat head.
- 2. The furniture connector according to claim 1, in which the bottom of the small groove is rounded and the diameter of the rounded bottom is bigger than the width of the small groove.
- 3. The furniture connector according to claim 1 or 2, the anchor shaft having a folded edge.
- 4. The furniture connector according to any preceding claim, in which the top of the cavity mount has a sunken area which can fit the anchor shaft plate.
- 5. A furniture connector substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to, and or as shown in, the accompanying drawings.
