Abstract

A bag or mail pouch or the like (61) has a closing means such as a zip or the like (52) and a zipper puller or the like (51) that engages with a label plate (50) that has hole holes (58) with a surface area suitable for placing a label seal (55) the label seal Folds over the label plate locking the zipper puller in a fixed position the said label (55) forms a permanent seal through the hole holes (58). The bag or mail pouch (61) requires the removal of the label seal (55) to gain access to the contents.

Description

Mail pouch courier bag This invention relates to bags bulk mail bags sometimes called a mail pouch or courier bag Generally these are bag / pouches that have a zip with a zipper that when pulled in the closed position have a locking system using key locks or breakable seats or buftons the address is carried on a separate label and the postage or carriage franking label According to the present invention (please refer to fig 11) there is provided a mail pouch bag or the like (61) that includes a moulding or plate (50) which may be flexible or rigid with holes /apertures (58) the pouch I bag (61) has a zip (52) or the like closing means with a zipper puller (51) that when fully zipped along to a closed position the zipper (51) is able to extend over the moulding plate (50) where a label (55) may be placed onto the moulding plate (50) and folded over the edge of the moulding plate (50) trapping the zipper puller (51) the said label (55) has at least one surface coated with adhesive that enables the label (55) to stick non permanent to the moulding plate (50) then folded over the edge of the moulding plate (50) at the fold point (56) and when contact is made through the moulding plate holes (58) the label (55) forms a permanent seal through the said holes (58) to the adhesive layer of the said label (55) once this bond has been formed at point (58/59) it is not possible to unzip the zip (52) and or zipper (51) The label has nicks, cuts and or kiss cuts (54) or other weakening methods that will indicate tampering or any unauthorised attempt to remove the label (55) or move the zipper (51) The moulding plate (50) may be integral to the pouch bag (61) or stuck and or stitched to the pouch bag and or may include but not a necessity a slot (60) that enables the zipper end (53) to be inserted into a recess via slot (60) to hold the zipper (51) in position It may be preferred to include a zip slide (57) in the form of a lock that requires a locking device such as a key (53) when the zipper (51) is pulled fully closed the locking device or key (53) may be used to lock the slider (57) and pulled over the moulding plate (50) and inserted into the slot (60) thence label (55) may be affixed and folded over as described earlier to form a double lock secure mail pouch courier bag (61) it is not possible in any event to open the pouch bag (61) without firstly removing the label (55) and removing the key (53) from slot (60) then unlocking zip slider (57) using the key (53) once unlocked the pouch I bag may be opened as required To reuse the pouch bag (61) all that is required is another label seal (55) and the process may be repeated the uses for the pouch bag (61) may include anything from document exchange, money carrying, bulk mail to products The label seal (55) may be made of any material including paper and or plastic and the like and may include sufficient area to include address and post franking charges and or the like additional identification means may included such as audio visual means and or authentication means and or electronic and or passive means such as Hid and or the like.
The adhesive label (55) may include printed instructions for the use and application of the securing system The pouch bag (61) may be manufactured from any material including nylon, plastics and or organic means or combinations thereof The zipper or the zipper puller may be a simple turn key and or moulding and or flap and or hook and eye holding system and or clasp that engages over and or through a keyway and or slot integral to the label plate or any engaging means as may he derived by a experienced designer of this type of product the label plate may also include a method of holding and or attaching the said label plate to the bag mail pouch and the like The invention as described has the clear advantage of reducing or eliminating the need for locking tabs or buttons and individual address and franking labels
