Abstract
259,803. Jacobsen, I. H. H. Dec. 24, 1925. Fungicides are prepared by mixing a pulverized fungicidal substance, such as copper sulphate, with pulverized burnt gypsum, and water is added to the mixture, so that in the consequent heat development the substance goes into solution whilst the gypsum takes up its water of crystallization ; the resulting solid mass is then pulverized. In an example 7-8 parts of copper sulphate are mixed with 100 parts of gypsum, and to the mixture is added the requisite quantity of lime for neutralization and 25 parts of water. Copper sulphate solution of any strength may be used instead of pure water.
