Abstract

An electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) for a panelboard (1) is disclosed, wherein the panelboard (1) comprises an insulating enclosure (5) with recesses (6) arranged in a matrix and wherein the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) provides mechanical and electrical connection between the panelboard (1) and a switching device (7). Insulating contact covers (11a, 11b) or contact cover pairs (12) of the electrical plugin device (4a..4d) are designed to reach through the recesses (6) and are arranged along a center line (D). A distance (yi, y2) between said center line (D) and a boundary plane (E, F) of the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) parallel to said center line (D) equals half a pitch (x) of the recesses (6) or is an integer multiple of said half of said pitch (x). Furthermore, a panelboard (1) with such an electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) is disclosed.

Claims (13)

1. Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) for a panelboard (1 ), a) wherein the panelboard (1 ) comprises an insulating enclosure (5) with recesses (6) arranged in a matrix and fulfilling at least the standard I EC 60529 IP2X and b) wherein the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) comprises a first portion adapted to provide mechanical and electrical connection between the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) and the panelboard (1 ) and a second portion adapted to provide mechanical and electrical connection between the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) and a switching device (7), characterized in that the first portion comprises a number of insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 1 1 b) or contact cover pairs (12) being designed to reach through the recesses (6) of the insulating enclosure (5) of the panelboard (1 ) and being arranged along a center line (D) of the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d), wherein a distance (yi, y2) between said center line (D) and a boundary plane (E, F) of the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) parallel to said center line (D) equals half a pitch (x) of the recesses (6) in the insulating enclosure (5) of the panelboard (1 ) or is an integer multiple of said half of the pitch (x) of said recesses (6).

Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) as claimed in claim 1 , characterized in that, a first distance (yi) between said center line (D) and a first boundary plane (E) of the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) parallel to said center line (D) equals half the pitch (x) of the lead through recesses (6) in the insulating enclosure (5) of the panelboard (1 ) or is an integer multiple of said half of the pitch (x) of said recesses (6) and a second distance (y2) between said center line (D) and a second boundary plane (F) of the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) which is parallel to first boundary plane (E) equals half the pitch (x) of the lead through recesses (6) in the insulating enclosure (5) of the panelboard (1 ) or is an integer multiple of said half of the pitch (x) of said recesses (6).
3. Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the first distance equals (yi) the second distance (yz).
4. Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the first distance (yi) is different from the second distance (yz).
5. Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that a connection between the electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) and a switching device (7) is 2-fold rotational symmetric.

Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that some of the insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 1 1 b) / contact cover pairs (12) on the center line (D) are equipped with metal contacts (13a..13d) each being designed to connect to one of the busbars (2a..2d).
7. Electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) according to claim 6, characterised in that both contact covers (1 1 a, 1 1 b) of a contact cover pair (12) are equipped with metal contacts (13a..13d).

Electrical plug-in according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in nine insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 11 b) / contact cover pairs (12) in a three phase (L1 .L3) system without neutral conductor (N) or eight or sixteen insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 11 b) / contact cover pairs (12) in a three phase system (L1..L3) with neutral conductor (N) or three insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 1 1 b) / contact cover pairs (12) in a three phase system (L1 .L3) without neutral conductor (N) or four insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 11 b) / contact cover pairs (12) in a three phase system (L1 .L3) with neutral conductor (N).

Panelboard (1 ), comprising an insulating enclosure (5) with recesses (6) arranged in a matrix and fulfilling at least the standard I EC 60529 IP2X), characterized in an electrical plug-in device (4a..4d) as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 1 1 b) or contact cover pairs (12) reach through the recesses (6) in the insulating enclosure (5) of the panelboard (1 ).
10. Panelboard (1 ) according to claim 10, characterised in that the recesses (6) in the insulating enclosure (5) are arranged in a modular, matrix style with at least two lines and with at least two columns.

Panelboard (1 ) according to claim 9 or 10, characterised in an electrical plug in device (4a..4d) according to any one of claims 6 to 7 with the plurality of insulating contact covers (1 1 a, 11 b) or contact cover pairs (12) reaching through the recesses (6) in the insulating enclosure (5) and with each metal contact (13a..13d) touching one of the busbars (2a..2d).
12. Panelboard (1 ) according to any one of claims 9 to 1 1 , characterised in that each contact cover (1 1 a, 1 1 b) of a contact cover pair (12) reaches through a single dedicated recess (6) in the insulating enclosure (5).
13. Panelboard (1 ) according to any one of claims 9 to 12, characterised in at least two switching devices (7) of the same type are connected to the busbars (2a..2d) via electrical plug-in devices (4a..4d) of different type and/or via differently orientated electrical plug-in devices (4a..4d) of the same type.
