Abstract

257,118. Stell, J., R. Oct. 13, 1925. Bobbins, spools, cops, &c.- Shields for the tapering ends of spools, bobbins, pirns, or the like, specially for use with yarn of springy material such as acetate cellulose or artificial silk, are formed as shown with a turned-over corner g to facilitate ready detachment. Paper may be used and the end d secured by adhesive, or sheet metal, such as aluminium, or sheet celluloid may be used, the lower edge in these cases being slightly splayed to avoid damage to the cop when being applied thereto.
