Abstract

A method includes receiving over an open communication channel of a wireless network, by a first device in the wireless network, a public key of a second device proximate to the wireless network and sending a keyword encrypted with the DPK from the first device to the second device. The method further includes displaying the keyword on both the first device and the second device. After confirmation by a user of the first device that the keyword displayed on the second device and the keyword displayed on the first device are the same, the method involves sending, from the first device to the second device, encrypted wireless network connection information related to automatically connecting the second device to the wireless network.
