Abstract
An oven comprises an appliance housing and a door, together defining an inner cooking compartment 2. An air extracting machine 1 is attached to the compartment for drawing out air from the compartment. An opening 12 in the compartment allows a stream of air 10 to flow into the compartment across the heating elements 3, thus bringing the heat produced by the heating elements across the whole compartment. A space is provided in the compartment to accommodate a product 5 to be cooked between the extractor and the heating element, where the stream of air flows through the space where the product is located. The air extractor may comprise a pump or fan 11 which when activated sucks air out from the compartment at very high speed so as to produce a high speed flow of hot air. The heating element may include a means to both heat and cool. The appliance brings a double advantage to the heating of a cooking object whereby the air in the chamber reaches a far higher temperature than standard ovens because the hot air surrounding the heating element is drawn all through the chamber and as a result of the high speed hot air stream the cooking object is heated more rapidly.
Description

INSTANTANEOUS HEATING AND COOKING APPLIANCE

BACKGROUND OF THE iNVENTION

This present invention relates to ovens, which are well known and are usually used to heat food for domestic and commercial use. It also concerns a oven having a cooking space for receiving a product to be heated, baked or cooked (a cooking object).

Standard ovens heat food by using heating element to produce heat. The hot air circulates in the chamber of the oven and subsequently heats the product as it absorbs the surrounding temperature.

However it takes time for the food to heat in standard ovens. This could be frustrating for a hungry person having to wait for his meal to warm up. Microwave ovçns are common for quick heating, but they are an additional expense and take up extra space. Many people are also concerned with reports from health experts that microwave ovens are a health hazard.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is accordingly an object of this invention to provide an association of means which yield high speed heating and cooking. With the foregoing and other objects in view there is provided, in accordance with the invention, a oven, including an appliance housing having a space formed therein for receiving a cooking product; an extraction device for extracting air from the cooking space and having a mouth formed therein disposed on a cooking space side; an heating element producing heat and causing its surrounding air to heat formed therein disposed on another side of the cooking space side; an opening near the heating element to allow fresh air intake into the chamber.

The solution according to the invention provides an extraction device for extracting air from the oven. An extraction device is understood to be any device that actively assists air to leave the cooking space. On another side of the compartment there are a few small holes near the heating element. Heating element is understood to be any device that actively assists its surrounding air to get heated. The cooking space for receiving the cooking product is between the air extractor and the heating element.

Activating the appliance instigates a high speed flow of hot air which is produced by the heating element running through the cooking space this brings a double advantage to the heating of the cooking object: a. the air in the chamber reaches a far higher temperature than standard ovens, because the hotness of the air surrounding the heating element is drawn all through the chamber; b. as a result of the high speed hot air stream, the cooking object gets heated more rapidly.

Other features which are considered as characteristic for the invention are set forth in the appended claims. Although the invention is illustrated and described herein as embodied in an oven, it is nevertheless not intended to be limited to the details shown, since various modifications and structural changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit of the invention and within scope and range of equivalents of the claims.

The construction and method of operation of the invention, however, together with additional objects and advantages thereof will be better understood from the following description made as a non limiting example of a few modifications of the embodiments of the invention when read in connection with the accompanying drawings.

BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIGURE 1 shows in perspective a diagrammatic view of the appliance through a first embodiment of an oven according to the invention; FIGURE 2 shows the appliance as a whole with the door open before the appliance is switched on; FIGURE 3 shows the appliance whilst the quick method is in process with the door closed.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFFERED EMBODIMENTS

In all the figures of the drawing, sub-features and integral parts that correspond to one another bear the same reference symbol in each case.

The present invention applies mainly but not exclusively to electro domestic ovens comprising an air extracting device 1 at a side of the compartment 2.

Referring to FIG. I the air extracting machine I is attached to the compartment 2 with mouthsl3.

The compartment has holes 12 on the other side where the heating element 3 is. The cooking object 5 is placed in the compartment 2 The air extractor I in the drawing is operated by a fan II which, when activated sucks out the air from the compartment 2 at a very quick speed. The imaginary arrows 10 represent the air flow running from the holes 12 through the compartment 2.

The air stream flows across the heating element 3, thus bringing the heat produced by the element 3 across the whole compartment.

FIG. 2 shows the appliance with a door and switches with the cooking object inside, before the appliance is activated. The cooking object 5 is placed in the compartment 2 by opening the compartment door 4.

FIG. 3 shows the compartment door 4 closed and the apparatus is in use. The heating element 3 with the air extractor I are switched on with the switches 6 and 7. The control knob 9 gives the option to choose the desired temperature for the heating element 3.
