Abstract

A non-slip ladder support comprises a flat ground engaging base with a means for stabilising the ends of the ladder uprights. The ends of the ladder are fitted into cups which are fixed to the base by U-bolts enabling the cups to swivel through 180 degrees. The cups are adjustable to accommodate any size ladder. The base may be secured to the ground by pegs which push through pre-formed holes, or blades which fit through pre-formed slits. The blades allow for the base to be secured between paving slabs or blocks. Under the base, which may be formed of aluminium, is attached a rubber non-slip mat. The base may also be fitted with rubber suction pads to give extra grip on smooth floors.
