DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ADEX CHAIR
The Adex chair is a fully functional exercise chair. It has been carefully designed and precisely constructed to assist the user in performing specific resistance movements. .The chairs seat has been angled sloping backwards to provide the user with support and ensure correct body alignment. This angle together with the height of the chairs seat has been calculated to prevent the users feet from touching the floor whilst they are seated. This allows for the leg exercises to be performed with ease and without restriction. The seat and back of the chair are composed of aluminium tubular rods to improve the weight, strength and comfort of the chair. It also allows free air movement, thus reducing sweat production in the user carrying out the exercise.
Attached to the chair are 53 anchor points, which are shaped and designed in a way that enables secure fitting of exercise bands. These anchor points are grooved to allow elastic resistance bands to be attached without them slipping off during the movement. This allows the user once seated to pull and stretch the bands to carry out an exercise in a smooth and controlled manner. Placing the bands over different anchor points with the help of guided instructions allows the user to exercise each of their muscles either individually or in combination with other muscle groups. The anchor points are clearly labelled with either a number or letter to enable the user to identify the recommended attachment points for each exercise they choose to perform. Secured between the seat and back of the chair are strap attachments. These can be used to ensure that the user is stabilised safely on the chair during the activity.
The chair has 2 wheels attached to the back legs at the point the feet meet the floor. This allows the chair to be wheeled once it}ias been folded to maximise its portability. The back edge of the seat can be lifted to initiate the chairs folding action to a flat position. Once flat the chair can then be secured in place with a hook. This allows the chair to be stored away safely and neatly until it is required again.
The detailed dimensions of the chair are as follows: Part 1 (x2) 2" x 1" x 1237.75mm with 10 anchor point on-=ch Part 2 (x2) 2" x 1" x 735.50mm with 5 anchor pointy - each Part 3 (x2! 23' x 1" x 384mm with 3 anchor points on each Part 4 (X2! 3/4, X 3/49, X 265.5mm Part 5 (x2! 1 /" x 3/4" x 265.5mm has 3 anchor points Part 6 I piece has 3-anchor points Part 7 I piece 1 1/2 " x 3/4" X 431 mm has 5 anchor points Part 8 1 piece has 3 anchor points Part 9 (xio! pieces in" diameter x 509mm Part 10 12 pieces A" diameter x 380mm Part 1 1 Wheel component x 2 Part 12 2 securing points for the lap belt attachment Part 13 A hook positioned 7. 5cm from the pivot point on part 3 The anchor points are: H: 24rmn x W.: 40mm x Groove 14mm The overall height of the chair is: l 02.5cms The width is: 43cms The angles between the 3 pivot points are: Angle l: 67.7 Angle 2: 35.5 Angle3: 76.8 The chairs seat is angled at: 14.25 The back rest is angled at: 25.5 The weight ofthe chair is: 46kgs
