Abstract
A water level alarm comprises a housing 5 containing a float 2, a membrane 4, a loud speaker device 6 and a battery 7. In use, for example in a bath tub, swimming pool or other vessel, when the water level reaches the bottom of the housing the float rises putting pressure on the membrane which pushes the loud speaker device into contact with the battery, closing the circuit and emitting an audible alarm that the desired water level has been reached. The alarm is positioned using a counterweight 11 attached to the housing by a flexible link 10; the device can then be draped over the edge of the vessel and the position adjusted to the desired height.

THIS INVENTION RELATES TO AN ALARM DEVICE THAT WHEN IN CONTACT WITH
LIQUIDS IN ITS LOWER PARTS WILL PRODUCE A PRESSURE TO A FLOAT INSIDE
ITS BODY TO MOVE UPWARDS. THIS MOVIMENT WILL MAKE THE UPPER PARTS TO CONNECT PRODUCING A LOUD SOUND.
THE AIM OF THIS SOUND IS TO MAKE PEOPLE AROUND IT OR IN THE
PROXIMITIES TO BE AWARE THAT THE WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID WHERE
THE DEVICE WAS PLACED, HAS REACHED THE LEVEL DESIRED, AVOIDING FLOODING OR WASTE OF RESOURCES.
A SPECIFIC EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION WILL NOW BE DESCRIBED BY WAY
OF EXAMPLE WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING IN WHICH:
FIGURE I SHOWS THE WATER ALARM OUTSIDE LINKED TO THE
COUNTERWEIGHT.
FIGURE 2 SHOWS THE WATE ALARM INSIDE THE HOUSING 5. IT CONTAINS A FLOAT 2 THAT WILL MOVE UPWARDS WHEN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS ENTERS THE HOUSINGFROM ITS LOWER PART. WHEN THAT HAPPENS THE FLOAT 2 WILL PRESSURISE THE MEMBRANE 4 THAT WILL TOUCH A BOARD THAT WILL BRING THE LOUD SPEAKER DEVICE 6 INTO CONTACTWITHTHEBATTERY 7, RESULTING IN AN EMISSION OF LOUD SOUND.
THE WATER ALARM IS PLACED AT THE BORDER OF A BATH TUB, SWIMMING POOL ETC. ANY VESSEL ABOUT TO BE FILLED WITH LIQUID.
THE WEIGHT OF THE WATER ALARM IS BALANCED BY A COUNTERWEIGHT BY
LINK OF A SORT 10 THAT IS MALLEABLE, FLEXIBLE AND SO ADJUSTABLE. THE LINK I O CONNECTS THE COUNTERWEIGHT TO THE REMOVABLE CAP 9.
Claims (3)
1 THE WATER ALARM COMPRISES A BODY COVERED BY A HOUSING
CONTAINING A SOUND DEVICE THAT WILL BE ACTIONATED WHEN ANY
LIQUID ARE INTRODUCED IN ITS LOWER PART PRODUCING A PRESSURE
UPWARDS TO THE FLOAT. THE FLOAT WILL PRODUCE CONTACTS BETWEEN THE SOUND DEVICE + AND BATTERY PRODUCING A LOUD SOUND.
2 THE SOUND PRODUCED WILL ATTRACT ATTENTION TO ANY PERSON OR PEOPLE IN THE PROXIMITIES AND 'ALARM THEM' FOR THE FACT THAT THE LlQUlD HAS REACHED THE DESIRED LEVEL.
3 THE WATER ALARM BODY IS PLACED INSIDE THE VESSEL TO BE FILED WITH LIQUID, TO THE LEVEL WHERE THE LIQUID IS DESIRED. IT CAN BE PLACED AT THE EXACT LEVEL BECAUSE THE BODY IS LrNKED BY A
MALLEABLE LINK WITH A COUNTERWEIGH AT THE OTHER END WITH
ABOUT THE SAME WEIGHT AS THE DEVICE.
