Abstract

A technique for guiding a riser (34) in an offshore environment. The technique utilizes a keel guide (32) that permits the passage of connectors (40) or other components therethrough. A bushing (36) is mounted within the keel to guide the relative linear motion of the riser assembly though the keel guide.
