Description
ABDOMEN EXERCISING DEVICE
Fl ELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an abdomen exercising device and the length of the exercising device can be adjusted to meet different users' needs.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A conventional abdomen exercising device generally includes a flexible member connected between two support boards and a frame is connected to an underside of the two support boards such that the two support boards are horizontally installed. One of the support boards has two arm grips and the other support board has a leg retaining member so that the user may lie on the two support boards with his hands holding the two arm grips and legs are attached to the retaining member by belts. A limitation mechanism is connected to the connection portion of the frame and one of the support boards, the limitation mechanism includes a curve slot so that so as to limit the angle that the support board swings. The conventional exercising device cannot be adjusted its length so that if the user is too tall or short, he cannot use the exercising device properly. Besides, the flexible member connected between the two support boards limits the final size that the exercising device is folded so that the conventional exercising device is not convenient for storage.
The present invention intends to provide an abdomen exercising device wherein the length of the device can be adjusted and the device can be folded to ba an impact size for convenience of storage.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an abdomen exercising device which comprises a main tube having two open ends with a first part and a second part respectively and retractably connected to the two open ends. A seat is connected to a top of the main tube and a transverse tube is connected to an underside of the main tube and is transverse to a longitudinal direction of the main tube. The first part has a support member connected thereto and a retaining part is connected to the second part. A support frame has a stop tube and a first leg assembly and a second leg assembly are connected to the stop tube in opposite to each other. The transverse tube is pivotably connected to the first leg assembly and a distance between the transverse tube and the stop tube. Two arm grips are connected to two ends of the stop tube.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 is an exploded view to show the abdomen exercising device of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a perspective view to show the abdomen exercising device of the present invention; Fig. 3 shows a user is about to use the abdomen exercising device of the present invention; Fig. 4 shows a user swings the main tube of the abdomen exercising device of the present invention and the main tube is stopped by the stop tube; Fig. 5 shows that the main tube is stopped by the stop tube; Fig. 6 shows that the first part and the second part are adjusted to fit a shorter user; Fig. 7 shows the main tube is pivoted to be parallel to the first leg assembly; Fig. 8 shows the two first legs of the first leg assembly are pivoted to be parallel to the second legs of the second leg assembly; lS Fig. 9 shows the main tube is pivoted to be parallel to the second legs of the second leg assembly, and Fig. 10 shows the exercising device in its folded status.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to Figs. I and 2, the abdomen exercising device 10 of the present invention comprises a main tube l l having two open ends and a seat 18 is connected to a top of the main tube 11. A transverse tube 13 is connected to an underside of the main tube 11 and transverse to a longitudinal direction of the main tube 11. A first connection hole 12 and a second connection hole 120 are respectively defined in an underside of two open ends of the main tube 11.
A first part 14 has one end thereof movably secured to one of the open ends of the main tube 11 and a cylindrical soft support member] 6 is S connected to the other end of the first part 14. A second part 17 has one end movably secured to the other open end of the main tube 11 and a retaining part 170 including two parallel cylindrical soft members is connected to the other end of the second part 17. The first part 14 has a plurality of first positioning holes 15 defined in an underside of the end inserted in one of the open ends the main tube 11 and the second part 17 has a plurality of second positioning holes 150 defined in an underside of the end inserted in the other open end in the main tube 11. Two bolts 19 respectively extend through the first connection hole 12 and the second connection hole 120 and are engaged with one of the first positioning holes 15 and the second positioning holes 150.
A support frame 20 has a stop tube 24 and a first leg assembly 21 and a second leg assembly 23 are connected to the stop tube 24 in opposite to each other. The first leg assembly 21 includes two extensions 26 extending from the stop tube 24 and a first hole 2i is defined through each of the two extensions 26. Two first legs each have a second hole 22 and are mounted to the two extensions 26. The transverse tube 13 is located between the two extensions 26 and has a passage 131 which is located in alignment with the first holes 27 and the second holes 22, and a bolt 28 extends through the aligned the first holes 27, the second holes 22 and the passage 13 1. A distance is defined between the transverse tube 13 and the stop tube 24 so that the main tube l l is able to swing about the transverse tube 13.
Two arm grips 25 are connected to two ends of the stop tube 24.
As shown in Fig. 3, a user may sit on the seat 18 and his back is supported by the cylindrical soft support member 16 and the feet are hooked between two parallel cylindrical soft members of the retaining part 170. The user may use his abdomen muscles to swing the main tube 11 till the main tube 11 is stopped by the stop tube 24 as shown in Figs. 4 and 5. If a shorter user uses the device, 10 the bolts 19 can be unscrewed and the first part 14 and the second part 17 are respectively adjusted according to needs.
Referring to Figs. 7 to 10, when folding the device 10, the main tube 14 is first pivoted to be parallel to the first leg assembly 21 and then folding the two first legs of the first leg assembly 21 to be parallel to the second legs of the second leg assembly 23. The main tube 11 is then pivoted to be parallel to the second legs of the second leg assembly 23. The device is then folded to be a flat combination which is convenient for storage.
While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
