Abstract

A mouthpiece for insertion into one end of a hand-rolled cigarette comprises a cylindrical body approximately 12 mm in length and 6.5 mm in diameter made from a resilient foam or plastic material with one or more channels extending axially through the mouthpiece from one end to the other. The mouthpiece can be compressed between finger and thumb and inserted into the end of the cigarette which is to be placed in the mouth. When the compressive forces are released, the mouthpiece expands to its original diameter and grips the inner walls of the cigarette tube. The mouthpiece provides more stability to the end of the cigarette and it does not filter the smoke.

DESCRIPTION
THIS RELATES TO A MOUTH-PIECE FOR A HAND ROLLED CIGARETTE.
THE MOUTH-PIECE WILL BE CONFIGURED AS DEMONSTRATED IN
DIAGRAMS 1 - 4
THE FILTER-LIKE MOUTH-PIECE WILL BE MANUFACTURED FROM A
FOAM OR PLASTICS MATERIAL WITH " MEMORY " HAVING CHANNELS ALONG ITS LENGTH.SEE DIAGRAM I THUS ALLOWING A CLEAR
PASSAGE OF AIR
THE DIMENSIONS WILL BE APPROXIMATLY 12 MM IT LENGTH AND 6.5 MM IN DIAMETER.
THE SECTIONAL WALL THICKNESS WILL TYPICALLY BE 1 MM APPROXIMATLY, EXEPTING DIAGRAM 4 WHERE A SERIES OF
CHANNELS OR VENTS WILL BE POSITIONED ON SUITABLE PITCH CIRCLE
DIAMETERS
IN DIAGRAM 3 THE CENTRE CORE HAS BEEN REMOVED THUS
MAXIMISING THE AIR FLOW

Claims (7)

1. THE MOUTHPIECE WILL BE MANUFACTURED FROM A FOAM OR FOAM LIKE MATERIAL.
2. IT CAN BE COMPRESSED BETWEEN FINGER AND THUMB THUS REDUCING THE DIAMETER.
3. IT CAN THEN BE INSERTED INTO ONE END OF A SELF- ROLLED CIGARETTE.
4. THE NATURE OF THE MATERIAL FROM WHICH THE MOUTH -
PIECE WILL BE MANUFACTURED ALLOWS IT TO RETURN TO ITS
ORIGINAL DIAMETER WHEN RELEASED.
5. ON RELEASE IT WILL EXPAND AND GRIP THE INSIDE OF THE CIGARETTE.
6. IT WILL AFFORD THE SMOKER A MORE STABLE OBJECT IN WHICH TO PLACE IN HIS OR HER MOUTH.
7. IT WILL NOT FILTER THE SMOKE.
