Abstract

The dual function box file has a 2 ring, 3 ring, 4 ring, lever arch or post mechanism to retain punched sheets, together with dividers or document holders. It also has a clip on the inner surface of its lid. It is sized so that unpunched sheets or documents may be accommodated as shown in figure 1. Sheets are fully enclosed. The box is retained closed by a locking device.

Background Art
Conventional Ring Files/Binders or Lever Arch Files require document to be penciled with holes in order to file into these FilesiBinders. Box Files, however allow the keeping of documents without prepunch holes.
Sunnary of invention The objective of this invention is to develop a file/binder with a dual function of ( I) I<eephig of documents without prepuncl1 holes & (2) the filing of documents or document holders with punch holes with the use of a Khig fitting / Lever Arch Mechanism / Post Mechamsm.
The hivention require the design of a file (a) to be fully enclosed when closed (b) to be fitted with a Ring Fitting / Lever Arch / Post Mechanism & (c) to be large enough to fit document, indexes/dividers & document holders after the Ring Fitting / Lever Arch Mechanism/ Post Mechanism is fitted onto the tile.
TlliS hiVcRtion allows the keeping of documents h1 loose torm and/or held by the Ring Fitting / Lever Arch Mechanism / Post Mechanism.
Specific Example
In order to allow the present invention more readily understood, the following description is given, by way of'example, of specific embodiments of a dual function r ing box file made h1 accordance with the present invention Reference will be made to the accompanying drawing hi which: Figure I shows the Dual Function Ring Box File with documents without prepuncl1 holes.
Figure 2 shows the Dual Function Ring Box File with prepuncl1 documents & dividers in the document holder.
Figure 3 shows the Dual Function Ring Box File when closed.
The Dual Fwiction Ring Box File has the same function of a normal ring file/bhder where you can store your documents with prepuricil holes as well as with the function of a Box File / Docucase where documents can be stored without prepunch holes. Figure I shows that documents can be stored h1 the Invention without the need to punch holes. 'I'his can be used to keep documents which do not permit hole punching on the documents or when there is no hole prncl1 available.
2. Figure 2 shows that doctments are filed with prepuncl1 holes on the r sing t'itting.
The invention was designed large enough to allow indexes/dividers or document holders to be put on the ring fitting. The Invention also permit various type of ring fitting such as 2 ring / 3 ring /4 ring or lever arch or post mechanism to be fitted onto the file.
3. Figure 3 shows that when the invention is fully closed together, it forms a fully enclose box / case holding the documents inside, protecting the documents from tile external environment such as water, etc. A locking device secure the invention together preventing it from opening.

Claims (1)

  1. A Dual Function Ring Box File characterized by incorporating 2 functions of ( 1) keeping of documents without prepunch holes and (2) the filing of documents or document holders with punch holes with the use oi a Ring Fitting / Lever Arch Mechanism / Post Mechanism, thus allowing the keeping of documents in loose form and/or hekl by the Ring Fitting / Lever Arch Mechanism / Post Mechanism.
