Abstract

A wiper blade (10) comprising an elongate cured rubber body (12) having an upper grooved portion (14) adapted for engagement with a backing member (46) for maintaining the wiper blade in position; a base portion (16) disposed along the grooved portion and comprising a wiping surface lip portion (20) defining the apex of the base portion (14); and at least one strip (24, 26) extending along at least one side of the wiping surface lip portion, the strip portion (24, 26) comprising a vulcanized composition formed of a base rubber and from about 1 to about 10 phr of a friction reducing element.
