Abstract

The brace is designed to fit over a shock absorber of the suspension, e.g. of a mountain bicycle, to provide a rigid rear wheel support for road operation. The brace has a main part 1, including strips of metal, and end parts 5 of metal having respective ends 2 for engaging the shock absorber. The main and end parts 1, 5 have pin and aperture connections for length adjustment to cater for different shock absorbers. An adjustable nylon, canvas or rubber strap 8 is mountable around the shock absorber. A further strap enables the brace to stored on the cycle frame when not in use.

Description

SOLED RIDER
This invention relates to a lease support that fits on the Tear shock absorber of a suspension Bicycle or any suspension bicycle. The reason for this is to make the rear suspension rigid Or solid because on suspension bicycles the rear ofthe bicycles as to much movement on Smooth roads. The brace suit would make better ridding on smooth roads.
The rear sock absorber on a suspension bicycle is mainly for lough terrain to absorb the Rough terrain The brace support could be used on smooth ram, so the back of the bike Would be rind or solid. Also when the brace support is not in use. you coed store the brace Support on your bicycle flame using holders. Then the suspension wand be back to full Suspension.
A specific embodiment of Me imfention will know be described by way of example, with reference to accompanying drawings in which.
Figure I] shows We brave support from the sides on top of We rear shock absorber. On We rear suspension on a bicycle.
[Figure 2 1 shows the top of the brace support Placed on the rear suspension of a bicycle.
1 Figure 3] shows a holder for the brace support When not in use, The would be two.
Figure 4 shows a longer changeable coved metal end oftbe brace support from the side.
1 Figure 5] shows a T shed changeable metal end ofthe brace support
-A
Refering to Me drawing The brace support Fir Me mar shock absorbs of suspension mountain bicycle or any suspension bicycle. The brace support comprises of a moulded meal Or alloy brace support MQUIdCd around We mar chock absolve of a rear suspension bike. L11.
On the ends ofthe brace support there Amid be hard moulded nibber or plastic, Which clicks onto the meal brace sort, Which could be different Ides tar different sized shock absorber 121.Under Me brace Support it would be coated in nigher or plastic Or stripes of rubber or plastic.l3]. To stop paint damage. On the brace support there mod be thicl-er snips of metal [4],, If Ed for em stab On both ends of the brace support would tee a stung moulded piece of m - 1 or steels Which slides backs and fore arcs, on very strong I moulded slides, in die casing of die bra - ;e sump The strong moulded piece of mounds metal on the ends oftbe brace supp - , could be pulled out of He brace support So you could fit different shapes of strong molded metal or steal, like a T shaped piece of metal end of the brace support 1201. And also a longer cured shaped piece of metal or steal to fit the end of He brace sups 1211, there could be halo of dose. Or could be one T shot nece of metal or steal 12O1?on one end of He brace Em, and the longer cad piece of metal or steal [21 J. on one end at He brace suppose or you could put a Ed metal or steal brace support end [5], and on He other end a T shaped end 1201, these ends oftbe brace support could be so Mom the main mould of the We support [l]. he Here sue so many different Ed rear suspensions so you could have different ends for each individual rear suspension. (e end of the main molded brace support, and one end piece of metal could be longer than the other. [51 I n He casing and the strong sliding piece of metal, Would be holes, So you could but a pin through mom one side to the other. On the pin would be a span" loaded clasp, So the clasp would leach over the brace support, And close tight on the other side of the pi[6]. This would be for adjustment for different sized rear shock absorbers On the side of brace support would be a oblong hole I71 So you could pm a strong nylon canvas or nabber strap, Fastened on the hole in the casing long enough for adjust 181. On the strap would be a metal or plastic moulded adjuster fly]. So you could lengthen or shorten the strap. Also there would be a nylon canvas or nether loop around the soap to put the left over strep through [17]. On the strap would be a hollow oblong ring, of metal [9]. Which would then lit over a curved up piece of metal on the other side of casing Ache brace support tlOl.
The brace support would bee boldest Titer would be a thick rubber or plastic strap 111] Which would go around a part of He bicycles me. The would be a adjuster [12].To secure the strap to the flame. Moulded on He sip would be another snap longer enough to adjust using a adjuster [18]7 also a loop to hold the left over soap 119] to hold the brace support [13]. O n He end of the soap would be a oblong hollow piece of metal [14]. To hook over a curved piece of metal 1151. All moulded into the thick Ribber or plastic slap.

Claims (1)

  1. []] The rigid rider is a brace support, Which fits over Me rear chock absorber or rear suspension, on a mountain bicycle or a suspension bicycle, to make the rear shock absorber rigid or solid.
[21 The rind rider is also adjustable in size:, so it can fit different sized shock absorbers on suspension bicycles.
[31 The brace support would be held on by a stung nabber or nylon cants adjustable strap to hold some in place.
[4] Won the rigid rider Mace support, is not in use you can store it on the frame usiry; holders, as described in drawings [5] When the rigid rider brace support is Fred on the rear shock Or, the rear ofthe bicycle would tee rigid or solid. Won taken ofthe bicycle He bicycle would go back to front and rear suensior [61 like rigid rider brace support, would make one bicycle into two different bicycles. One with a rigid or solid rear. When the brace support is fitted Once taken ofthe bicycle would go back to a front and rear suspension bicycle.
[71 The brace support as changeable and diffemut shaped metal or steal abusable ends. so the brace support would fin most rear shock absorbers.
